The Blue Eyed Alien Sculpture OOAK

This Alien is a little bit sad. She needs a friend. Most Earthlings won't even talk to her, let alone the other Aliens. They think she looks weird.

OOAK means One-Of-A-Kind.

She has lovely blue eyes; all three of them! And The Blue Eyed Alien has beautiful twisty striped skin in many flattering colors. Light and shadow are her friends and she plays with them. Visually, you will be amused by this!

Will you be her friend? She is completely original and created by me.

The Blue Eyed Alien hangs easily upon the wall with her wire on the back.

She is 7 inches tall.

Hey, why not go see her at my Etsy shop and see all the other aliens, too! Here is a link:

The ArtFire Group Deal!

Great news, everybody! ArtFire is having an offer for a Group Deal! Only $5.95 for prememim membership. That is if they can get 20,000 people to sign up. The numbers are rising quickly!

This membership comes with no listing fees or sales fees!

What Art Fire says:

"We want to make sure all of our current members have a chance to get this deal before opening the deal up to the general public. If we get to 50,000 opt-ins before the deal goes public, it will never be offered publicly. "

and

"For every sign-up we get after 20,000; fully 1/2 of the gross revenue is going to a Buyer marketing program in October and November.

If we happen to hit 50,000 that would be about $90,000 in October and $90,000 in November.

Even better. . .

This community is going to pick where the ad money goes. "

ArtFire has many wonderful features. Creating a sale in your studio is easy and adding coupon codes is, too. I am very happy to hear that the curated lists will be featured on the front page, with a fair policy of not repeating the same sellers over and over again in a short period of time!

DaxDesigns Bead Art

Here is an amazing talent with beads, Dax Design's Bead Art. Located in Australia, this bead artist brings bead work up to fine art. Her name is Glenda. She creates original handcrafted bead art jewelry and keepsakes.

The following is from Glenda's bio:

" Glenda's beadart is inspired by shapes, patterns, colors and meanings of cultural and natural worlds near and far. Many of her designs use traditional beadweaving techniques that women have used in diverse cultures over time to create beadwork of great beauty and significance to their daily lives. Some of this beadwork carries hidden messages, some forms their dowry and much of it contains their wealth in a wearable form. All of it intrigues, enchants and inspires me to use beads to create wearable bead art that celebrates this tradition and brings diversity to what we see and wear and in daily lives."

I feel that my life is enriched just by looking at Glenda's work. Please visit her Etsy shop for looking at her many beautiful creations!  Here are some links for DaxDesign:

Got Fairies?????

Got Fairies? Or Fantasy Art??? We need it. Because real life is too cruel and stark. Ah, to soften off the rough edges... a little escape now and then. What do you think??? And I think whining is good, too. Why not have a little compassion for one's self?

Purple Fuzzy Feet

I have met the most delightful young woman on Etsy. Her name is Victoria and she has a shop that is dedicated to her dog, Libby, American-All-Breed-Dog.  The proceeds from most of the items in Purple Fuzzy Feet are 100% donated to Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption. A minimum of 10% of all sales will be donated to Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption.
Victoria is a former Marine who has turned full time crafter. She lives in Sanford, NC with her husband and the queen of their household, Libby.

Fancy Green Glass Tear Drop Beads

Fancy Red Lampwork Beads

These are just some of the treasures you will find at:
Go there and see a photo of Libby!

Aunt Jane is back from the dead

OK so here is some of my new work. Yes, I had a little sky diving accident, but it was not as bad as the media reports were. I am back! If you need or want any advice, just drop me a line. I can make it all better for you, Dear.

On A Roll!!!!

Hey look at these neat knitted accessories in the Etsy shop: On A Roll

Handmade iPod cozies, cup cozies, and other accessories are there. I just LOVE hand knitted items!

Yellow Cup Cozy (hand knit coffee cup sleeve or wrist warmer)

This cup sleeve was knit with 100% cotton in the round, making it seamless. It slips easily onto most regular to-go coffee cups and is a great way to skip that disposable cardboard sleeve but still keep your fingers comfortable.

A 100% wool cozy for your iPod or other similarly-sized item, such as an iPhone or camera, with a pretty cable pattern. My iPod classic fits perfectly, and my little Nikon snuggles in it quite nicely as well.

Original Artwork: Save The Artists

Save the artists! Buy direct from artists and craftspeople. Keep our economy going without the middleman. Do your self a favor and get something of real value. Let's break away from corporate greed by not feeding them anymore. Well, as little as possible. They don't deserve it. It's fun to shop at places like ShopHandmade, MadeItMyself and Etsy. I have lots of neat iems in my shop at Etsy. So do many other people.

You can buy jewelry, clothing- (even bras!) pottery, purses, toys, candy, jams and jellies, cakes, coffee, wood items, felted things, knitting, paintings, prints, cards, medicine bags and more! Do you really want to support factory made -assembly line stuff from China?

I am having a 20% off sale!!!!! http://www.auntjanecan.etsy.com/
